Didier Massard
“Territories”
June 14 – August 23, 2014
Massard is known for his imaginative, highly elaborately fabricated photographs that record meticulously crafted and masterfully lit studio constructions. These projects begin with an idea, are extensively researched and are completed after months devoted to their execution in his Parisian studio. Because Massard only uses manual techniques to fabricate his images, the effect is different from digital imaging. Our experience of each image leaves us lingering on every detail as we question both the reality of the subject and the process used to achieve it.
