Re-create a culture of a society in the image: This is the mission to build through photography, an irreplaceable means to “make visual memory”, which is essential for communicating ideas and cultures of individuals and communities and fundamental tool for communication. Photography as a space where a dwelling is thinking. The need to understand not so much, and not only that, how to photograph, but because, since the value is not in the picture itself, but in the ‘information contained in it, in the process generator.
The photograph can then assume social significance and therapeutic. Thus was born, as a socio-cultural event centered on the role of social and therapeutic photography, Perugia Social Photo Fest which annually presents to the public the Italian and international projects that are developed in the context of Photography social and therapeutic photography. The third edition of the festival organized by the ‘LuceGrigia’ will be held in Perugia, in the Civic Museum Center for Contemporary Culture Palazzo Penna, 14 to 23 November next.
