Holly Lynton: Bare Handed
June 3 – July 23
Reception: June 3, 6 – 9 PM
Holly Lynton’s body of work, titled Bare Handed, features the lives of agricultural communities, where Lynton’s subjects struggle to preserve traditional agrarian values in the face of globalization and technological advancements. In her practice, Lynton “looks for moments of wonder, and aims to depict the delicate balance between dominance and surrender often found in the natural world.” The resulting photographs interweave the sincerity and hardships of American agriculture with the mysticism of the natural world.
