memymom
22 September 2018 – 20 January 2019
“memymom is a collaboration between two artists – a mother (Marilène Coolens, °1953) and her daughter (Lisa De Boeck, °1985). The seeds of the project were planted in the 1990s, as Marilène took photographs of her growing daughter and had her act out scenes from movies, fairy tales and TV shows. As Lisa moved into adolescence and adulthood, however, roles began to shift. Daughter became photographer too and mother part of the image.”
