Innovation at the Intersection of Science, Technology, and Photography
September 19–December 15, 2019
Opening Reception Friday, September 20: 5:30pm-7pm
Photography, like many forms of communication, has been significantly impacted by science and technology in its relatively short history. As we continue to push the boundaries of visual imagery as a means of human connectivity, innovation plays a critical role in that evolution. This group exhibition will explore the role of science in photographic processes; cultural and social influences on the history; and the opportunities, challenges, and unintended consequences of technology in the photographic arts.
Exhibiting Artists: Richard Barnes, Evert Bongers, Barbara Bosworth, Zachary Burns, Phillip Carpenter, Caleb Charland, Dave Kennedy, Doug Keyes, Eadweard Muybridge, Chris Letcher, Christina Seely, Penelope Umbrico, Madame Yevonde, Amir Zaki
