20th Annual Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day – April 25, 2021
20th Annual Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day
April 25, 2021
“Lockdown wonder”
For 20 years, Pinhole Day has enabled tens of thousands of
people worldwide to experience the joy of creating an image
using nothing more than the light travelling through a small
hole.
Every year, on the last Sunday in April, individuals and groups
make pinhole images in workshops and events around the
world to share in the magic of pinhole photography. Last year
over 2000 people from 57 countries uploaded photographs to
the online Pinhole Day gallery at www.pinholeday.org
This year, as much as ever, we need to see our world in a new
light. Whether on our own or as families in lockdown, using
nothing more than some bin liners and some cardboard, we can transform our front room into a magical
inverted projection of the outside world.
