Doug Haight: See My Story
September 2nd – 26th
Opening Reception: September 4th | 5 – 7PM
Gallery Talk: September 23rd | 7 PM
“See My Story, a collaborative, photography-based, multimedia project intended to raise awareness about homelessness in Evanston. It combines life-size portraits of homeless citizens by Doug Haight along with their personal stories. Working with project partners, Connections for the Homeless and Interfaith Action, this community-based project invites local homeless individuals to share their personal narratives in order to provide a deeper understanding of their often complicated lives. This project is the result of relationships based on mutual respect and trust that were formed over time, recognizing each participant as a unique individual with a story to tell.”
