“The core of the exhibition 40 Years of FOTOHOF – Pictures, Documents, Artifacts is made up of 40 selected works of art, which represent the artistic products presented since the foundation in a pointed way. For each exhibition year there is an exhibit from the time. The resulting collection of images provides an aphoristic insight into the development of the photographic medium and how it was conveyed from the early 1980s to the present and tells, in addition to a brief history of the FOTOHOF, of decisive phases in photography as an artistic medium their former marginalization to an independent and emancipated art form.”
