ALEXANDER GRONSKY: SOMETHING IS GOING ON HERE
November 11, 2022 to January 11, 2023
Opening Thursday, November 11.
Since the start of Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine on February 24, Alexander Gronsky has studied the way his fellow citizens continue to live during the conflict. The Russian photographer Alexander Gronsky, born in Tallinn, the current Estonian capital, in 1980, is however doubly threatened: of prison because of his commitment and of being sent to the front for the cause of the “partial mobilization” decreed by the head of the Kremlin. But despite the risks, he chooses to stay in the country to fight, in his own way, and to testify.
