Shane Brown: In the Territories and Reservation Dogs
September 30 until February 2023
“Shane Brown is an Oklahoma-based Cherokee photographer and filmmaker documenting the present-day cultural landscape of the American west. Brown has worked on multiple award-winning cinematography and photography productions and in 2022 was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize in Explanatory Journalism.
One exhibition will showcase Brown’s documentary photography project In the Territories, a photographic survey of the cultural landscape of Oklahoma, its convoluted histories, and its present-day manifestations. His other exhibition will follow his work as the on-set still photographer for the Peabody Award-winning FX series, Reservation Dogs, created by Taika Waititi and Sterlin Harjo, showing exclusive behind-the-scenes from the show.”
