A Personal View on High Fashion & Street Style: Photographs from the Nicola Erni Collection
10th June – 3rd September 2023
“From the 1930s onwards, magazines such as Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar are full of fashion photos that seduce the reader with idealized, fantasy images, all edited to perfection. In tandem, street style photography is evolving, with its unaffected snapshots straight from the street. Both speak volumes about the fashion of the day, while also capturing the zeitgeist. What is our modern take on them? Based on various themes, such as Revolution!, Sex & Provocation, and Fiction & Fantasy, you will time-travel through the fascinating world of fashion photography. Brought together by Swiss collector Nicola Erni, who owns one of the world’s extended private collections of fashion photography.”
