JASON LANGER: BERLIN
May 7 – June 20, 2023
“While photographing the city of Berlin for five years I stayed in a flat with various roommates – friends and lovers. Several of them asked me to make intimate portraits of them. Many of these pictures were edited out of my new monograph Berlin as the book is a photographic exploration of the city from the perspective of a boy who grew up in Israel in the shadow of the Holocaust. These portraits were simply too erotically charged for the book. Instead, I am grateful that the Clamp Gallery will show these gelatin silver prints in this special exhibition.”
