“An Ordinary Eden is a new solo exhibition by Margaret Mitchell which explores the importance of home and belonging. The culmination of a long-term project which commenced in 2019, it is a story of experiences that remain hidden to most – of displacement, of instability, of a failure in society to adequately support our fellow humans. Made with individuals in various parts of Scotland, ‘An Ordinary Eden’ offers an insight into the practical and psychosocial impact of past or current homelessness and the search for home and connection.”
