“Filter Photo is pleased to present Con(tra) El Archivo, a three-person exhibition of work by Arlene Mejorado, Irene Antonia Diane Reece, & William Camargo, curated by Alexa Ramirez Posada. Con(tra) El Archivo confronts the romanticization of the archive and the gaps in the history of Black and Brown people. The artists in this exhibition push us to reconsider the scope of a camera lens and imagine a world without an objective view-finder.”
