Studies in Still Life @ Soho Photo Gallery
Studies in Still Life
March 26 – April 1
Opening Reception March 28, 6-8pm
“Traditionally, a still life is a collection of inanimate objects arranged in a composition. The arrangements might be as simple as a table with a bowl of fruit or a vase of flowers. It can hold subjective meaning for the artist, sending a message of fleeting life or intimate pride. In this exhibition, consisting of 75 works from 50 member photographers, each member has created her interpretation of this theme ranging from the traditional to the political to the irreverent. ”
