Through Their Lens – Personal Projects by Veterans
January 12 – February 17, 2024
Opening Reception: Saturday, January 13, 5 – 8 p.m.
Explore the world from a different perspective and support local artists in Colorado’s military community at this unique exhibition of outstanding photographs by 27 Veterans. Opening January 13th at the Colorado Photographic Arts Center’s new space in Denver’s Golden Triangle Creative District, Through Their Lens | Personal Projects by Veterans includes nearly 60 photographs created by artists who completed CPAC’s Veterans Workshop Series, a six-month program of photography courses provided to local U.S. military veterans free of charge. The opening reception and exhibition are free and open to all.
Since CPAC launched the program in 2017, 60 Veterans have graduated — and many are now exhibiting, selling, and publishing their work at a professional level in Colorado and beyond. This exhibit is the largest showing of Veterans’ photography CPAC has ever presented.
Exhibiting Artists in the 2023 Class: Jason Alfaro, Robert Grimmer, Mike Lowell, Ozell McKinney, Chris Morrow, COL Gurney F. Pearsall, Jr., M.D., Amaury PerezPulido, Cherie Sutton, Ray Trujillo, and Ken Tschappat. Exhibiting alumni include: Rich Caldwell, Rich Cancellare, Michael Ciavatta, Amy Forestieri, Donald M.
