Gerti Deutsch: IMAGINATION AND EYESHIP

“The INN SITU Gallery at the BTV Stadtforum Innsbruck presents a new, extraordinary exhibition combining photography and literature. It features numerous previously unpublished works from the life’s work of Austrian photographer Gerti Deutsch (curated by Herman Seidl), who fled the Nazis to England in 1936 and subsequently established herself as a successful photojournalist. Titled “IMAGINATION AND EYESHIP,” Gerti Deutsch’s photographs are juxtaposed with the poetic descriptions of the writer Ilija Trojanow.”
