I honestly believe that the purpose of my photos is not just to show reality as a perfect register of a moment or a place. It is much more about dreamlike moments and deep feelings.
I’m convinced these unique moments can’t be arranged beforehand. In other words, it is not about huge productions with tons of people and equipment supporting the photographer in order to finish the job.
Beautiful and memorable events happen in all the moment and everywhere. The thing is to learn how to see and interpret them. This is one of the most interesting meanings in photography because each photographer will interpret the fact according to their personality, history and sensitivity.
The Romanticism art movement has had a great influence on me as I admire its concept and beauty. In order to achieve this visual approach, I use medium-format cameras such as Rolleiflex and Yashica Mat. 120 film is incredible to get an unique texture and depth in the photos. The neutral color tones help to keep the mysterious atmosphere which I look for.
