Greyscapes is a series of hand-painted watercolour prints from 2013-2017. Taken in London, it portrays unusual vegetation in unassuming surroundings very close to the photographer as a way to find exuberance in the everyday and to somehow fulfil a constant longing to go back to nature. Shot on black and white film, the prints are later intuitively painted with the aid of flowing water, creating a new surreal dimension to the already displaced original settings – what simply starts as a photographic study becomes a personal representation of escapism thanks to this two-step process.
Ren Rox is an analogue photographer shooting Fashion, Music, Travel and a variety of personal Fine Art projects. The bold, often psychedelic atmospheres are achieved using in-camera and chemical experimentation.
