Today I want to tell you about how great, wonderful, and at the same time it's not easy to be a mom. In 2016, I found out that I was going to have a baby soon.I do not consider myself one of the women who dream of getting this invaluable experience, dedicating their lives to children and enjoying maternity leave. No. It so happened that all our children are unplanned. Each of my pregnancies brought something, and took something away. I sincerely do not understand why they think that maternity leave is the happiest time in every woman's life. In reality, I was faced with difficulties that I didn't know about and hadn't heard about. I think many women feel the same as I do, but they are afraid to tell others that it is difficult and lonely for them in this new status of a mother. When I found out that I was pregnant with my second child, I started keeping a visual diary. This is the way that allows me to talk myself out and do what I love. The topic of motherhood is not only about the fact that this is the most important mission of every woman, it is also about difficulties, about the relationship between mother and child and the position of women in society.

Ekaterina Pavlova is a modern Russian photographer. She was born in Omsk in 1991. Ekaterina studied at Omsk State University named after F.M. Dostoevsky. In 2013, she graduated with honors from the Faculty of Psychology. Since 2014, Ekaterina began her creative activity in the field of photography. In 2020-2021, she shoots the first project "Souls" and in the same year organizes an exhibition in the city of Omsk. In the summer of 2021, she became the winner of the Vienna International Photo Award. Received an honorable mention at the ND Awards international competition. In 2022, she received an honorable mention in the international competition 35 AWARDS, as well as in the international competition Monovisions photography awards 2022. Currently, Katya is working on a new project "Mother's Diaries" and actively participates in contests and open open calls.
