Photographing is my way of observing and understanding time. Using a 4x5 large format view camera, I document the changes I see in the world around me. Contrasting images of the landscape with those of my aging parents, I capture the subtleties that you only notice from repeated experience with someone or somewhere. As a landscape visually reveals the changes of time, bodies reflect the years they’ve experienced. In my images, I portray both the poignant and hopeful; the inevitable passage of time. I aim to hold each moment still while paying homage to the time that has passed.
